With the increase in public's awareness on Fengshui over the years, the number of Fengshui courses being offered by Fengshui practitioners is on the rise as well. Courses typically offered are widely known Fengshui applications such as Flying Stars or Xuan Kong Fei Xing (玄空飞星), Xuan Kong Da Gua (玄空大卦), Ba Zhai (八宅), San He (三合), Landform/ Form Analysis (长眼法、形峦) etc.

Regardless of the time and money required, it is not uncommon nowadays to find a rising number of people participating in these Fengshui courses. But, acquiring Fengshui knowledge is not akin to filling up a tool box. Having knowledge of several Fengshui methods or different schools of Fengshui does not necessary means one has a deeper knowledge of Fengshui, or has the right understanding of Fengshui.

One has to ask, if the analysis from the Fengshui application one normally uses when assessing whether a property is Auspicious or Inauspicious does not match what the reality is, does one then uses or does one ever has the intent to use other Fengshui applications instead to assess? E.g., if the analysis from Flying Stars does not match what the reality is, one then uses other Fengshui applications such as Xuan Kong Da Gua, and if again it does not match the reality, one then tries Ba Zhai or San He applications etc. Is this how Fengshui truly is?

Or, does one thinks that what Fengshui applications to use for assessing whether the property is Auspicious or Inauspicious depends on the situation? E.g., certain situations or circumstances will require the use of Flying Stars, whereas other situations or circumstances require the use of Xuan Kong Da Gua, Ba Zhai or San He, or how certain situations or circumstances will require the combination of Flying Stars and Xuan Kong Da Gua to assess whether the property is Auspicious or Inauspicious. Basically, what Fengshui applications to use for assessing whether the property is Auspicious or Inauspicious depends on the situations or circumstances of the property. Is this how Fengshui truly is?

Though the latter’s reasoning seems logical and is also the views and practices of many Fengshui practitioners nowadays, both however are far from the Principles or Way of Nature (大道之理)! What sounds logically right may not necessary be the 理 of Nature.

No matter how many different knowledge of Fengshui applications or schools of Fengshui one acquires, be it Flying Stars, Xuan Kong Da Gua, Ba Zhai, Form Analysis, Long Men (龙门) or San He etc, the key in understanding the Way of Fengshui (风水之道) is whether does one truly comprehends the Principles or Way of Nature? Whether does one comprehends why and how all Fengshui applications that are derived from 《易理》 essentially comes from "one" (归一)? What exactly is the "one"? Simplicity is a characteristic of the Principles or Way of Nature and in simplicity comes greatness and complexity (大道至简，而以简御繁). What exactly is the Simplicity (简)?

All the answers lies in 心印! Whether one truly comprehends Fengshui is not based on how many Fengshui applications or schools of Fengshui one knows! The Way of Fengshui is inseparable from 《易》, and 《易》 is one’s study and learning of the Nature. Understand the Principles or Way of Nature, one will understand the Way of Fengshui. In a way, one can say that the farmers’ ability to comprehend Fengshui is potentially far better than many Fengshui practitioners nowadays!

Thus, even if one acquires knowledge of various Fengshui applications or schools of Fengshui, but has yet to comprehend the Principles or Way of Nature, yet to comprehend why and how all Fengshui applications that are derived from 《易理》 comes from "one", yet to comprehend what this "one" exactly is, yet to comprehend what Simplicity in the Principles or Way of Nature exactly is, one is still far from truly understanding Fengshui. To truly understand, reflect and observe Nature more.

随着人们对风水的认识加深，开办风水课程的数目也有所增加。目前坊间最常见的课程有玄空飞星、玄空大卦、八宅、三合、长眼法、形峦等。虽需要花费数时间和金钱，不过现在不难见到越来越多的人参加这些课程。但，要了解风水学不是类似于填满一个工具箱，不是因学了众多派别的风水学就懂得越多！或就对风水有正确的认识。

自问，如您所主用的某派风水法不符合真实情况时，是否有意用其他派别的风水学理来论吉凶呢？如玄空飞星不符合，就套用玄空大卦来论吉凶，在不符合，就用八宅来论吉凶，在不符合就用三合来来论吉凶。风水真是这样吗？

又或者您认为，某种情况的宅或店就必须用某种派别的风水法来论吉凶？如碰到某种情况的宅或店就必须用飞星来论吉凶，碰到另一种情况的宅或店就必须用大卦、八宅或三合来论吉凶，碰到另种情况的宅或店就必须飞星和大卦一起用来论吉凶；认为要用什么风水法来论吉凶是取决于宅或店的情况。风水真是这样吗？

虽第二者似乎合乎理，也是现在许多风水师的看法和做法，但以上两者都离大道之理还远啊！合乎理不代表合乎大道之理！

不管是学了多少派别的风水学理，如飞星、大卦、八宅、长眼法、峦头、龙门、三合等，风水之道最重要的是，一个风水师是否真正理解了大道之理？是否明白为何《易理》所推演出来的法终究归一呢？这个“一”是什么呢？大道至简，而以简御繁。这个“简”又是什么呢？

全部的答案就在心印！真了解或不了解风水不是以知道多少各种派别的风水学理来做依据的！风水之道离不开《易》而《易》乃人对天地自然的学问。了解自然生存之道必了解风水之道！因此，在某种程度上，对于了解风水这门学问，农夫的悟性可说是比许多风水师来得更深啊！

所以，即使了解了各派别的风水学理，但尚未明大道之理，不明为何《易理》所推演出来的法终究归一，不明这个“一”，不明这个“简”，终究还是不明风水。要明，就要多想、多观察自然。
