It is common for some to understand Xuan Kong Liu Fa (玄空六法) as six different methods of Fengshui, comprising Xuan Kong (玄空), Ci Xiong (雌雄), Jin Long (金龙), Ai Xing (挨星), Cheng Men (城门) and Tai Sui (太岁).

However, the correct understanding of Xuan Kong Liu Fa is six principles, with an integrated approach in the application of Xuan Kong Liu Fa.   All properties around us, be it Auspicious or Inauspicious, includes Xuan Kong Liu Fa principles. Briefly, Xuan Kong Liu Fa is:

Xuan Kong (玄空): Universal principle behind Liu Fa, also known as 心印

Ci Xiong (雌雄): Recognizing Mountain (山) and Water (水), Emptiness (空) and Solid (实)

Jin Long (金龙): Why certain locations require water in Period 8

Ai Xing (挨星): Determine the strength of Mountain and Water

Cheng Men (城门): Where should the Property sit/ face?

Tai Sui (太岁): When would the Prosperous or Decline occur? What are the events or effects that will happen because of this Property?

Collectively, Xuan Kong Liu Fa is 一心 (Xuan Kong), 四诀 (Ci Xiong, Jin Long, Ai Xing, Cheng Men) and 一法 (Tai Sui).
