This is an excerpt from 《宅运新案》，a book documenting Fengshui case studies, primarily using Fei Xing or Flying Stars (飞星). It is a widely popular reference book, by those researching on Fei Xing. Besides Fei Xing, Ba Zhai (八宅), Da Gua (大卦) and Long Men (龙门) are some of the other common Fengshui applications which one may have heard or is one of the applications used by some Fengshui practitioners.

The phrase “Li Qi Wu Zhen” or “理气无真” arises due to the diversity of Fengshui methods thus far, with every method claiming to be the true Fengshui applications. Thus It is common for one to ask whether there exist different and independent true Fengshui applications.

As a background, there are three important points to note in the principles of Fengshui, before one attempts to answer that question.

1. Fengshui is the expression of the Principles or Way of Nature, and simplicity is a characteristic
2. Since Fengshui is inseparable from the Principles or Way of Nature, any applications that are derived from “易理” are Fengshui’s applications
3. Know an application’s use; what it can be use on, how to use and when to use

If there are more than one Fengshui applications, and each of them is derived from “易理”, behind these applications and their principles will exist a universal theoretical foundation and principle, stringing all the applications and their principles as one. This universal principle is “心印”. It includes “XuanKong” or “玄空”, “Hetu” or “河图”, “Luoshu” or “洛书”, “Early Heaven Ba Gua” or “先天八卦” and “Later Heaven Ba Gua” or “后天八卦”.

With the understanding of “心印”, one will understand the simplicity in the Principles or Way of Nature, understand whether some of the Fengshui applications at present are derived from “易理”, understand whether the Fengshui applications can be used, and if yes, when and how to use.

Fei Xing, Ba Zhai and Da Gua are Fengshui applications considered widely practiced today. Has one spent time thinking, why sometimes they are effective, sometimes they are not?

这是从《宅运新案》书里的一个案例。《宅运新案》应该是一本对于习飞星法的人来说，是一本具有参考性的书。飞星法，也是现今运用较广的风水法。除了飞星，八宅、大卦等风水法，大家也许都听过这些风水名词、或许为您看风水的地理师所应用的也是其中之一、二。

试问，也因存在不同的风水法，而有所谓的“理气无真”这句。风水真的有不同而独立的原理存在吗？目前，的确是有很多的风水原理、法。先不说真与伪，有几个要点是非常重要的。

一，风水是体现自然界中的“道”，而大道至简。

二，既然风水离不开自然界的规律，只要是从易理推演出来的，就是风水其一的应用法。

三，知用。知用就是对于风水的应用法，知道要用在什么，什么时候才能用。

如果风水之应用法不只一二，而都是易理推演出来的，那么背后定有贯通于一法的架构、原理存在。这就是“心印”，所包含的有“玄空”、“河图”、“洛书”、“先天八卦”和“后天八卦”。了解“心印”就能体会大道至简、明白某现有的风水原理和应用，是否是易理所推演的，是否能用，如能用那什么时候才能用。

八宅、飞星，是属于流转较广的风水原理和应用法。试问，为何时准，时不准呢？
