It is very common to hear or see cases of the following: “My capabilities and results are far better than him, yet he is getting all the opportunities…” Does this mean capabilities are somehow less important than having opportunities? But there are also many situations where despite having opportunities many could only wish for, one squanders them because of mediocre capabilities.

This clearly tells us that capabilities and opportunities are equally important for success. But is this two enough? Having outstanding capabilities on one hand and all the right opportunities on the other, what holds both of them? Man. The phrase “No Man Is an Island” tell us that interpersonal relationships also play a very important role in our lives.

These three, Opportunity, Capability and Interpersonal Relationship, together forms the fundamentals for success. What can our Life Structure (命格) tells us about these three? How are these three related to our Life Structure? Or, taking it further, how are these three related to Yi (易)?

However, none of these answers are as important as having the answers to “How can we act to our advantage upon knowing these three?” Everything is in our Life Structure...
